I am of the Seneca people, one of 5 nations that make up the Iroquois confederation. The Seneca people were the keepers of the west gate. No one came unto the Iroquois, lest the came through the Seneca to ask permission, and be granted escort to counsel. My people were the band at Kinzue, and Onneyville, near the New York state and Pennsylvania borders, on the banks of the Allegany river in the north western area of Pennsylvania. My family has been a part of the Seneca nation since the late 1600’s.

    I am called, “RagingHawk”, in the lodge. I create Handcrafted Traditional, Native American Style Medicine Stone Jewelry. These pieces are patterned after the northern woodland people’s designs.  Multi-strand chokers were used to protect from slashing wounds, as well as, for ceremonial, and social functions today, just as they were in days gone by. They are made in a variety of styles, such as single up to as many strands as you might want. The most common pieces are 3, and 4 strand chokers. I design single and multiple strand lays, using them as medicine stone vehicles. My designs include bracelets, anklets, and earrings as well, sometimes making them into sets. All custom pieces are marked with my jeweler’s stamp for those who wish collectable sets.

    Minerals, both metal and stone, are used to ease maladies that afflict humankind. Great Spirit put these gifts within the earth to help humankind ease issues afflicting mental, emotional, etherical, and physical self.

It was found that a few were able to put these minerals together in a manner that would help bring relief from sufferings. I am one of those who can sense how to focus those energies to bring that help, or relief to humankind.

As I have said, “It may not cure you, but it can help, by bringing relief”….
